Project Architect - **THIS POSITION HAS BEEN FILLED**

JOB DESCRIPTION

This position provides the opportunity to work with a small group of committed professionals, to manage your own projects, to design for enthusiastic homeowners, and to further develop an expertise in residential design. The Project Architect will work with a new, exciting, growing firm that takes a fresh approach to architectural services. Our energetic firm enjoys the challenge of taking something good and making it exceptional for our clients. Surpassing our client's expectations is our first priority.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Meet with potential clients and sell Renovation Design services.
  • Assist the client from the initial sales meeting to completion of construction.
  • Develop comprehensive design options for the client.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Prepare construction/permit drawings.
  • Prepare project budget estimates.
  • Conduct construction observation.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • M.Arch. from an accredited university.
  • Minimum 2 years employment in an architectural firm functioning as a project architect/manager responsible for:
    1. Construction documents—drawings and specifications
    2. Construction administration
    3. Construction budget estimates
    4. Consultant coordination
    5. Client management
  • Licensed Architect preferred
  • Proficient in AutoCAD - version 2008 preferred
  • Experienced in Word, and Excel

COMPENSATION:

Salary will be commensurate with experience and performance. Additional benefits include profit sharing, 401(k), health & dental insurance, paid holidays and personal time, as well as opportunities for professional development.
