Steve and Jenny wanted more living space in their 1979 Ranch/Rambler home. Since the home sits on a tight corner property lot with no room to add on, they had to use the sloping site to there advantage. By moving the garage to the lower level it opened up a lot of space on the main level, adjacent to the kitchen and entry. This additional space then allowed for a mudroom in an existing hall/entry.

To bring in a lot of natural light into the new great room, a large window seat and windows sit centered in the new space. Additional awning windows and doors were added to the family room and dining area.

The exterior was updated with a new entry walk up to the home. Again taking advantage of the sloping lot, stone clad planters and concrete stairs were added.
