Description
Type: Basement
Style: Bungalows
Details:
Before remodeling, this home had an unfinished basement storage room that was only accessible from the exterior. The main level of the home had an awkward bedroom that also provided access to the primary suite which limited privacy in both bedrooms. We converted the first bedroom to a hallway with access to the primary suite, added stairs to the basement, and installed cabinets for storage that also help separate these two spaces. This location for the stairs helped transform an awkward bedroom in to an area that feels original to the home and provides interior access to the basement. In the basement, the team created a hallway that leads to a utility room, a bathroom, and a bedroom. The remodel helped increase the overall function of the home by re-defining an existing space and adding livable square footage.
