How can you do an initial consultation without seeing my home?
Your architect will visit your home before doing any design work, but we are able to offer a consultation in our office or virtually using digital photos that you take of the interior and exterior of your home. Based on the year the home was built, your home’s location, and your photos, your Architect will be able to identify the potential issues involved. We have done over fifteen hundred projects that started this way, so we know how to make it work.
What should I bring to the consultation?
Bring photos of any part of the home you would like to discuss, and photos of all exterior sides of your home. Your Architect can discuss anything you’d like to change about your home during your consultation. If you have any, bring any other pictures, photos, or drawings that show spaces or styles that you like.
When will I get a price for your services?
Within a day or two of your consultation.
Can I have an Architect come to my home for a consultation?
Yes. We offer consultations virtually, at our office, or at your home. You can learn more about the consultation types and pricing on our Services page.
Can I choose which Architect I have my consultation with?
Yes. If you have a preference, just indicate which Architect you prefer when requesting your architectural consultation. See the Architect’s Bios.
Can I finance your fees over time?
Yes, if you call paying with a credit card financing! We accept all major credit cards.
What if I don’t like the designs my architect does for me?
Once the initial designs are presented, we will work together to adjust, combine, and develop the design to make sure it achieves your goals. It is a process, and with our experience and expertise we will work together to make sure you are happy.
How long does the Design Exploration℠ take?
Usually between four to six weeks. It depends on the workload of your architect and how efficient you are in making decisions.
Does the Design Exploration℠ include three-dimensional models?
Yes, all of our work is done using 3D modeling software.
What if I don’t need assistance specifying materials, selecting a contractor, or help during construction?
We created our company to offer a full range of services whether you are a complete novice or an experienced do-it- yourselfer. We can customize the services you need — from our Outline Plan; to our Inspire Architectural Services. This way you have control over the final cost of our services.
How much do your services cost?
Our total fees depend on the project’s scope, size, and level of involvement that you choose to hire us for. A typical architectural fee for custom residential design is between 8% and 12% of the total cost of construction. Following your consultation, the architect you meet with will send you a proposal that outlines our different service options and costs.
How long will the entire process take?
Usually between two and six months. It largely depends on the scope of your project and how decisive you are.
