We are very pleased with our main-floor remodel designed by Ann Robinson several years ago. It was a collaborative process with plenty of changes due to the age of our house and newer codes. We ended up with a better design than we had anticipated, thanks to Ann’s suggestions. I would highly recommend RDG for your next project.

My wife and I wanted to remodel with no clue how to begin, and look back so thankfully on our decision to reach out to RDG. Annie walked us through options, we selected and collaborated until we had a perfect plan. Her contacts were invaluable as we locked in a path to completion, and we couldn’t believe how much better our experience was we thought possible! Big thumbs up!

We had a wonderful experience with the team at RDG. Annie made the whole process seem less overwhelming and achievable.

We were trying to have our basement dug out, which itself is very daunting, but RDG was able to help point us towards reputable GCs who could help us accomplish the project. Annie also worked with us throughout the project, helping advocate for us and our vision throughout the project.

Annie was also great about giving us multiple options of designs to help accommodate our budget, and she was very flexible in providing modified plans when we inevitably changed our mind or the GC ran into some limitations during construction.

As someone that isn’t particularly knowledgeable about construction stuff, I really appreciated how Annie would take time to explain the reasons for certain design choices or limitations and explain what was happening.

Lastly, I can’t emphasize enough how great it was to have someone who works in the space enough to refer us to high quality contractors who had experience in projects like ours. It really took away a lot of anxiety and worry we had about finding the right fit for doing such a major project.

I would recommend RDG to anyone and everyone looking to undertake a major home construction project.

When we renovated our entire house, we chose to work with Renovation Design Group and it was a fantastic experience from start to finish. Annie brought experience, organization, problem-solving, and tasteful suggestions to every interaction. The drafters were thorough and professional (and tromped through a foot of show to take accurate measurements) and the office staff was always prompt, helpful, and kind. I’ve already recommend Renovation Design Group to a neighbor looking into a remodel; they get a hearty endorsement from me!

I can’t recommend RDG highly enough for their expertise in the architectual side of home renovation! We just finished a major remodel of our home that took about 2 years overall for the planning and actual execution, and we couldn’t have done it without Annie and her team at RDG. Not only did they provide valuable “nuts and bolts” architectual services, but Annie’s input and guidance on overall design choices for our 1912 craftsman bungalow were outstanding. It was such a comfort knowing that RDG was only a call away for assistance. We worked with Annie and RDG for our first major home remodel. I remember Annie visited the project with us before we bought it to offer her thoughts on the “bones” of the home. Our remodel included a full removal of the trusses and roof. A big deal for a rookie. Annie is talented and demonstrated her ability to take our ideas and thoughts and design plans that met our ambitions. Working with Annie was great, not only the plans she created, but during the renovation work, some of her additional ideas really helped in deciding among various options we had to consider.
And here a year later, still happy with the options she suggested, they really worked out well.

Annie was a pleasure to work with and the detailed build plans and designs RDG produced were top notch and so very helpful. She worked with our contractor (Bluebird) to ensure a smooth hand-off and was available throughout construction whenever an issue came up or something had to be tweaked. I wasn’t sure whether we needed to hire an architect, but I was pleased that we decided to after it was all said and done. Highly recommend RDG for any architecture/design needs!

We worked with Annie and her team from Renovation Design Group to create the design for our remodel in Yalecrest. We so appreciated Annie’s attention to detail and knowledgeable approach to older homes and remodels. We had a pretty clear idea of what we wanted before we contacted her, and she listened to what we wanted, asked great clarifying questions, and added her own ideas that took everything to the next level. She was flexible and responsive as we worked through a few small iterations in the design until we landed at our final plans. She also helped us work through our application for the historic homes preservation tax credit, and helped us design to meet those requirements.
The weekly meetings that we had with Annie and our contractor were SO helpful, and helped keep all of us on the same page. There were numerous times when I went back to her notes to clarify things myself. Our contractor also mentioned how much their team appreciated Annie’s attention to detail and the weekly meetings that we all had together.
Finally, Renovation Design Group hosted an open house at our home for us to invite friends and family to come see the remodeled space. It was such a fun way to show off the beautiful remodel, and the RDG team made it easy for us by taking care of almost everything.
