As far as construction progress goes, the roof framing should wrap up later this week and it was exciting to see that the Pella windows have been installed. With the framing almost complete, the rough plumbing, mechanical, electrical, and audio/visual subcontractors are all gearing up to start. The superintendent and I had a good discussion about integrating the ductwork soffits in the basement ceiling into the overall design for the space to be as unobtrusive as possible.

Jon also had us look at an existing retaining wall that is starting to crack and crumble to assess what could be done to improve the aesthetics and structural integrity. We brainstormed ideas and the contractor is going to gather some cost and materials information for further discussion in a future meeting.
