Located in Sandy, Utah this home underwent an extensive remodel on the main level. With the goal of the project being able to host friends and family, the team got to work opening the main floor spaces.

We removed the wall between the kitchen and family room and removed part of the wall from the staircase separating the dining and family rooms to create clear sightlines between the rooms. In the kitchen, we were able to gain some additional square footage from an adjacent playroom. This allowed us to add a large kitchen island that anchors the space as well as additional counter and storage space. The second part of the existing playroom was incorporated into the entryway with a built-in bench and coat hooks – creating the perfect spot for guests to leave coats and shoes as well as a beautiful design detail. We were also able to update the flooring to create a consistent feel throughout, remodel the main level bathroom, and transform the mudroom to include built-in storage.

This renovation updated the spaces of this home to create the perfect spot for hosting friends and family while also providing comfort for everyday living.
