It’s been a busy week! The contractor passed his 4-way inspection (framing and rough plumbing, mechanical, and electrical) with only a single minor comment from the inspector. This allowed them to proceed with insulation which is now complete and the drywall has been stocked and is now being installed. On the exterior the roofing has been installed and the brick veneer installation is in progress.

As soon as we had the remodel concept figured out, Jon and Marisa hired Jenny Butterbaugh to help them select finishes. Just as architects are good at envisioning space, interior designers are good at envisioning finishes and are extremely helpful when it comes to having your remodeled home feel cohesive. Interior designers also have a plethora of resources that allow them to quickly guide clients through a seemingly endless array of options to the ones that will really capture the vision they have for their home. Jenny has started attending our weekly on-site meetings to begin confirming the selections that were made months ago. Today she reviewed door hardware, plumbing fixtures, and door and window trim. A couple minor adjustments were made, she’ll confirm a handful of details, and then the contractor can place his orders well before the products are needed for installation. This is such a great example of how pleasant and low stress a remodel can be when there is a well developed plan in place!
