Before

Before the remodel combined laundry room and bathroom

The Pine House Remodel included a few changes on the main level and a full renovation of the basement layout to improve the home’s overall function. On the main level, we removed the second entrance into the office and added a cabinet, reconfigured the layout in both the bedroom and entry closets, and updated the bathroom. Each of these updates significantly increased the amount of storage on the main level.

In the basement, we added a designated primary suite by enclosing a large multi-purpose room and reconfiguring the existing mechanical room and combined laundry and bathroom layouts. Now the basement includes a small hallway with access from the stairs to the laundry room and bedroom. The laundry room then leads to a small mechanical and storage room while the bedroom provides access to storage under the stairs as well as the closet and bathroom.

In order to increase the ceiling height throughout the basement and reduce the size needed for the mechanical room, we relocated the HVAC systems to the attic. We then installed a mini split in the bedroom and heated floors in both the laundry room and bathroom for temperature control.

This remodel transformed the functionality of the home by maximizing the layout, updating the finishes, and providing storage throughout.
