Before

Basement craft room before the remodel with built-in desks, a couch, a sink, and a large window.

On this project, the team worked to renovate a basement of a home originally built in 1912. The existing basement space included a large utility room, workshop, mechanical room, and craft room. In the new floorplan, we were able to relocate the mechanical room to maximize square footage, create a family room with a built-in wet bar, add a bathroom, and divide the craft room into two spaces to create a guest bedroom. By changing the scale and redefining the spaces, the team was able to create a layout in this basement that fits the client’s needs.
